Vincotech has developed VINcoSIM, a next-generation simulation environment designed to address the growing complexity in industrial electronics and power module design. As the number of modules, topologies, and semiconductor components increases, conventional simulation methods often struggle to balance speed and accuracy. VINcoSIM bridges that gap by providing a flexible, topology-independent modeling approach that enables fast and reliable evaluation of any Vincotech power module.

VINcoSIM’s foundation lies in a structured modeling method based on functional topologies, which describe how each component behaves within a circuit. The environment incorporates detailed static, thermal, and dynamic characteristics — derived from real measurement data — stored in Vincotech’s centralized database. These data blocks (VSB, VTB, and VDB) ensure precise behavior modeling across various configurations used in industrial electronics applications such as inverters, converters, and PFC systems.

The simulation process uses temperature feedback and loss calculation algorithms to estimate junction temperature, power losses, and performance efficiency under real operating conditions. By combining advanced mathematical modeling with digitized component data, VINcoSIM allows engineers to design, optimize, and validate customized power modules with greater accuracy and speed.

In practical tests, such as with a 6 kW photovoltaic inverter using an H6.5 topology, VINcoSIM demonstrated its ability to predict efficient operation and maintain thermal stability. Overall, the platform exemplifies how digital innovation can enhance decision-making and reliability in industrial electronics design and simulation.
